Susan Kirchoff – Executive Director

I have lived in Shelton most of my life and enjoy helping youth find their path. The passion I have for Shelton Youth Connection has been on my heart for over 20 years. I ran a daycare for 15 years and during that time me and my husband became foster parents and adopted two children, enlarging our family to seven. After closing my daycare, I went back to school and completed my Bachelor’s degree at Evergreen State College and have held various social service jobs. I attended Liberty University and graduated with my Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Human Services, with a Minor in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am looking forward to utilizing my degrees and making a difference.

Real Estate BA Public Policy/Land Use

I have served on many leadership roles with a large focus on positive change within systems which included Mason County Commissioner, Director of Shelton Mason County Chamber and Director for Tax & Fiscal Policy for Washington Realtors.

I have lived in Mason County since 1993 following my family’s move from the South Seattle community where I was born and raised.

My short term goals for The Youth Connection include creating transitional housing for young adults, an overnight shelter for homeless youth and Life Skills training for youth and young adults to help them be successful adults.
